With the crew change completed, our engineer whistles off as the deep thunder of the exhaust talks to us and shows we are under way again.
Late Afternoon: Our rail journey now heads towards the Atlantic Coast city of Charleston SC. Passing through Charleston SC one notices the relatively low-rise city scape and the prominence of the numerous steeples which dot this city's skyline. Charleston is known as the Holy City due to the vast amount of churches. Charleston is located at the confluence of the Asley & Copper Rivers which continue to the Atlantic Ocean.
