Former Union Pacific coach, Echo Canyon, was built in 1961 and represents some of the last developments in Budd design and technology.  This 44-seat coach retains aspects of its vintage Union Pacific interior appearance and feature comfortable coach seating and two large bathrooms.

The Echo Canyon is currently emerging from a complete rebuild and is equipped with outside swing hanger TFM disc brake trucks with air decelostats, a 65KW Stadco generator, full retention with freeze protection, a 5HP Curtis water-raising compressor, HEP, and new Northwest Rail Electric HVAC and generator control systems.  Freshly reupholstered and restored to its stainless exterior appearance, the Echo Canyon combines the best qualities of a late-build vintage Budd coach with the reliability and convenience of today's technologically advanced passenger car systems.

Future modifications include:
• Buffet for limited food and beverage service
• Interior motif following the Milwaukee Road "Hiawatha"

Echo Canyon is Amtrak Certified.
This car is not ADA accessible
(For ADA accessible coaches, please see Mohave and Golden Sand.)
